The contest is held on the last Saturday in February.

Hawkins Elementary School is on East Main Street in Rogersville.

Catagories are: fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo, vocal

Age divisions are: fiddle: age 7 & under: beginner         8-12 junior               13-18 senior

                all other categories:   12 & under: junior        13-18 senior

Contestants may compete up until their 19th birthday.

First place winners receive: Cash prize, trophy, opportunity to compete for "Best Overall", invitation to play at Heritage Days

Second & third place receive cash and a ribbon.

Best overall (12 & under and 13-18) win a plaque and a cash prize.

Contestants may perform one or two songs. The best overal contestants will perform one song.
